This is the view across the road from my house this morning, because it was so cloudy everything ranged in shades of gray, so this would be my Monochromatic color scheme. It is such a different view than summer and fall when the colors are amazing. |

This is a close up of one of the planet stickers my son has on his wall, since the colors appear next to each other on the color wheel it's my example of Analogous color scheme. |
I felt like I had a hard time with this assignment, So I will add more pictures as I take them.
I kind of had a hard time with this assignment too. I found myself searching for more examples of these types of photos to better understand each one but still I struggled to find or create these. I think we are kind of limited by the time of year. I almost used clothes out of my closet to do this assignment.
ReplyDeleteJenn I thought you did great. Good for you for finding resources such as the planet stickers. Sometimes things like these work best.
ReplyDeleteJenn, the photo of the gray/black hues next to the white snow give the photo a cold/sad dreary feel. Color sure does a lot for peoples moods as when it is bright (yellow) and blue skies people feel more alive and energetic. Neat idea of the blue/purple stick as an exampleof Analogous color scheme.
ReplyDeleteHeidi....funny about the clothes from your closet...I almost did that too...lol
It was a sad and dreary day, the picture fit my mood, I wasn't feeling good, and it was so cold out. When the sunsets across the road it can be such a riot of colors.
ReplyDeleteI really like your monochromatic picture. Brr! I had a difficult time finding a monochromatic shot myself, which surprised me. It seems that should have been the "easy" one. Your image is great- even though it makes me want a blanket and a hot cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteThe flower looks great. I also like how the landscape naturally is gray on its own. Very nice.

Another good use of household items from fellow students, very impressive. Nice use of a cloudy day, certainly a good find.

Color is tricky, color schemes, like you say, just need practice. You've got a good start.
