Collage week 3 Assignment

So I created this using Picassa, love the fact that you can make collages! It is random stuff that is cluttering my desk, notice it's almost all my sons' stuff :-) I used a plain green background and added the white borders, I felt like this made the pictures stand out better.

Like I said random stuff from my desk. I have to say I like slinky dogs tummy the best,

  1. Great collage Jenn!

I like how every picture is something completely different. But even so everything pulls together because of the fact that they are all things on your desk.

I noticed some different textures in your pictures too! Like with the puff balls and a few others things I can't figure out what they are, but they definitely show texture!

    Great job!

  2. My faves are the ones that are "really" Macro, the ones closer up. I like the variety here and congratulate you also for being the first poster this week, hooray!

  3. Nikki, the black textured is my camera case. Thanks Lisa, I have always loved taking pictures and have over 10,000 on the computer from the last 7 years, and boxes of prints from before that. I get really into the assignments because it gives me a chance to check out the settings on the camera.

  4. Your collage is very colorful! I like that about it! It reminds me of a carnival, especially with the multi-colored poof balls and the slinky dog stomach. I like the post card with the fancy lady on it sitting next to the John Deer tractor. It makes the collage controversial and yet it works! The green background definitely ties it all together, like you said. Neat!

  5. Thanks for letting us know you made the collage on picassa- that's a great way to present your pics! I like the way it actually looks like your looking at a desk with stuff scattered all over it. The camera case and the pom poms are my favorites!

  6. Great job Jenn. I like the way you captured random items and put them together! Very unique. I like the fuzzy pom poms. UPC bar code too....very intersting ideas. I like the idea of so many different items and not necessarily similar items in your groupings! Great presentation! Gives me many ideas for pictures as I usually think of photos of like items/objects.

  7. The fancy lady is actually the fabric of my CD case from the dollar store, it is a lot of fun though

  8. Judging by the stuff on your desk it is just possible you have more desk clutter than I do, that's an accomplishment in itself. I hope you eat that orange before it turns into another fuzzy ball. How often do you play with the Lego blocks, I had not thought of that I should get some for my desk, Lego's are always fun as long as you are not stepping on them barefoot in the dark.

  9. Great job with making your photos stand out by using the green background, it worked for sure. My favorite thing about your collage is the randomness. It allowed all the pictures to stand out rather then one or two leaping out at me. My favorite photo is your keyboard one because the camera really captured the worn keys.

  10. Tom, Legos rock!!!! (except when you step on them!) My guys don't have the skills to do the building, so I get to do that part but it also means that I have to try and get them to keep the models in one piece. The legos on my desk right now, are a T-rex in need of medical care, his legs fell off.

Amanda, my poor computer is only a year old, so the worn keyboard tell you how hard the teachers at CCV have worked me this past year :-) (ok so I also play the games and hang-out on facebook too)

  11. Great job Jenn, your pictures look a lot like my house. Legos and crafts everywhere, lol. I really loved the variety right down to the barcode. I think that was one of my favorite ones. The colors came out great in all of them.

  12. This collage is so much fun! The colors really go very well together, and are attractive to the eye. You have so many textures and angles in these photos, that it becomes so interesting to look at. It is so interesting that my focus keeps changing, and I see something new each time.

    Great job!

  15. Hey, cool collage. I like how you took every day items from your desk and matched them to your blog. Not sure if thats what you were going for, but it looks great regardless. Definitely evident you like farms and farm life.
